The Flash shoots scene for episode 104 "Going Rogue" with Jesse L. Martin and his stunt double - plus quick appearance from Wentworth Miller
My 1st real opportunity to shoot any scenes of The CW new super hero program The Flash, since the pilot episode came in early August when I caught up to their set up in East Vancouver.
On set when I first got there was the stunt team preparing to do a scene where a Police car would drive up the street backwards, spin around and almost hit a stunt man who was portraying Jesse L. Martin for the scene.
First thing I noticed about this Police Car was... a LOT of 52's on it. On the roof, the back hood, on the bumper... and even in the license plate number. Clearly the writers ae trying to slide in a few trillion references to The New 52, which is the DC Comics revamped line of their products that started in 2011. They have done it in Arrow as well (at least once that I noticed... probably others) and I have caught The Flash do it at least twice now (this being the 1st... another in a later shoot that will get posted soon with a fire truck) already.
Later on Jesse L. Martin came to set and shot the scenes where his character Detective Joe West is on the ground.
After that shoot, they wrapped the outside shoots and moved indoors. I saw a transport truck arrive out of the corner of my eye and hastily snapped off a few pics of who arrived....unfortunately, I didn't have time to zoom in on the area and wasn't aware who I shot till I saw other peoples pics from earlier in the day, later on. It was Wentworth Miller showing up to shoot scenes as Leoard Snart aka - Captain Cold.
The Flash airs Tuesday nights on The CW in the U.S. & on CTV in Canada.
